Julie Michels and Kevin Barrett

"They might look like a duo but their music fills the room and commands attention." – [Jaymz Bee – Producer & Host - JAZZ.FM91]

It’s a pleasure to play music with my friend Kevin Barrett, after so many years of friendship and working together, it’s simply a joy bringing you the jazz and blues to make your heart happy!

The New Statlers is a cozy, classy place to have a drink, a nosh and listen to great music with great people. See you there!

Koller-Michels Duo

On June 9th CBC Radio 2's evening program Canada Live aired a concert recorded live at Trane Studio in Toronto on April 26th. George Koller and I experienced a wonderful evening of great music with a great audience, full of huge heart and energy.

That evening was recorded by an old friend, fine soul and musical phenomenon in his own right, Andrew Craig. If you couldn't tune in, you still have a chance to enjoy the show through CBC's Concerts On Demand. Look at the concert details including track listings, photos and reviews, and listen to the whole concert or just selected tracks. Or (depending on your computer) just click here to listen to the whole thing!

To quote the CBC: "...the Michels/Koller duo takes you on a sonic adventure - and they fully admit they have no idea where you might end up."
